I loved reading every poem and am enamored with the art work. Your mom's writing style is incredible. You should submit to publishers -- I believe she would have an audience!
Another book??!! Another wonderful book, Judy... and such a beautiful tribute to your mother... you received her artistic creative genes.. I sort of started my hand made book yesterday.. that is.. the beginnings of my 'words'.. making lists and connecting 'dots'... will keep you posted.
Happy birthday, Greta! What a fantastic book! Words sculpted in meaningful poems and great pictures to go with it from drawings to sculptures. I love the flowers, the animals, the architecture, everything! Please, Greta, shower us with more drawings and poems! It is the growing season!
I've known Greta all my life and never suspected such hidden talents. But now that she's "come out of the closet" as a poet and artist, a new career presents itself for the coming years. I love her poetry which is funny, sad and moving and her art which definitely has a personal signature. Happy belated birthday and much love. Les
Her poetry evokes serenity and wisdom. I loved all of it. Greta, joyeux anniversaire. Love, Lola
Such a beautiful yet unsentimental insight into old age. Your mother is a wise, articulate and talented woman. No wonder you turned out like you did. xxx
Greta's talents have arrived in California as well. Congratulations to Greta on 98 yrs., and to Judy as well, for putting this book together. My friend Lesley sent me the connection. All the best, Barbara
Thank you so much for sharing Greta's charming drawings and thought-provoking poetry. But her clay sculptures are just brilliant -- so much emotion portrayed in a piece of clay!
Judy, I also loved looking at your sketches -- powerful lines convey the action. hope we get a chance to draw/paint together some day...

Wow.
ReplyDeleteWow.
I can't decide if the poems or the art is the best part.
Both.
Thank you.
